This year we embarked on our first ski trip at The Chalfonts. We took a group of 15 students ranging from MYP1 through to MYP5 to La Thuile situated in the Aosta valley, Italy.

We arrived at Geneva airport where we were met by a representative from Interski to transfer to the Plannibel; our accommodation for the week. The residence was excellent and was situated at the bottom of the slopes which enabled us to ski to the resort at the end of each day.

The students were split into 3 ability groups to sample the variety of skiing La Thuile had to offer. We had the extra bonus of skiing to La Rossiere in France, as it was across the other side of the mountain. We were extremely fortunate to be blessed with excellent snow during our stay, as it snowed most days, during the day or the night. Every evening we took part in an apres-ski activity which ranged from ice skating, bum boarding to quizzes and pizza nights. The food was superlative throughout and we had the opportunity to eat in a different restaurant each evening. It was an extremely fun and successful trip and I look forward to leading another ski trip in the future!
