The Chalfonts Sixth Form is a small but growing, inclusive and vibrant learning environment with a newly updated, dedicated sixth form area. We aim to provide an area to facilitate students’ positive experience with a large study area in the library, smaller rooms for individual and small group study and a shared common room and recreational space with sofas, a hot drinks machine and table tennis and football tables.
We offer the IB Diploma Programme (DP) believing this provides the best preparation for life and further study for 16-18 year old students, with many graduates saying they are best equipped for the challenges of University research and working collaboratively on projects. We have had a total of 19 graduates with a cohort of 11 completing the DP in 2024 and small numbers in 2021 and 2023. Based on our ethos, we admit students across the ability range and provide advice and guidance on subject choices to aim to provide a suitable diploma programme to each student. We believe in stretching and challenging the most able to reach excellent outcomes and providing support where is needed with the assistance of our SENCO.
